2-person room for sharing with a friend/partner with 1 single bed in each room (with kitchenette and bathroom) size is 38 m2 (gross areal) of the whole master rooms. There is only 1 contract holder.

Please be informed that at this dorm there is  surveillance in all common  areas.

This is in relation to the tenants safety and will only be used in case of suspicion of theft, illegal entry or vandalism.

There is also a security company on site that take rounds every day including weekends. 

About the dorm

Umeus (Valby) is a completely new dorm which is right next to the new station København Syd

Tenants have access to many shared facilities such as shared kitchen,  study hall, group rooom, lounges, and a roof terrace. This offers plenty opportunities to be social with other residents. 

About the area

Grønttorvet is a new upcoming area, here you will find, among other things, huge community center, shops, businesses, underground parking, shopping facilities specialist shops. In addition, you can cycle to large parts of Copenhagen via nearby green cycle paths. You have the center of Valby within a short distance, Fisketorvet and the new IKEA close by.  

Grønttorvsparken is a meeting point for the district’s residents and guests. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a light meal in Plads23 located on the promenade. 

The promenade Here you can go apple picking in the orchard, which is lined with trees and plantings of edible fruits, nuts and berries that change with the season. You can also play outdoors with friends – or immerse yourself in a good book – on the green, open grass of the lawn. You can take a stroll down the promenade – the urban strip – that connects the park with the surrounding properties and small urban spaces

 

Things to do

There are many things to do in Valby and nearby. 

Spinderiet is a relatively new shopping center located 7 minutes away by bike. It offers a various options of shops -fashion, personal care, housing, electronics, sports, leisure, groceries and, not least, delicious culinary experiences are gathered in one place.

Valbyparken offers summer concerts, a natural playground and 17 theme gardens, which makes it a popular excursion spot for all ages.

Kulbaneparken the park contains playgrounds, utility gardens, meeting places, artificial turf, a pump-track course and the urban space “Kulgraven”, which is both a cloudburst pool and an enormous skating landscape.

Hafnia sports center with Hafnia-Multi, you have the option of renting indoor courts for pickleball, volleyball, futsal, badminton, handball, basketball, hockey or something else entirely!  The hall is equipped with various nets, goals and baskets for various activities.

Obligations

It is mandatory to participate in the weekly common cleaning of kitchens.  Active participation in the dorm’s community is expected.

Common rooms

You will be able to book different common rooms for study, contact the community manager on site. 

Furniture and inventory

2 seperate kitchenettes (1 in each room), including a sink, a cooker hood and a fridge. In the middle of the two rooms there is a shared bathroom. There is a bed and a mattress of 90 x 200 cm, a movable desk and a closet for storage in each room. 

Please note: We never provide bedlinen, duvets, or pillows. Please bring or buy what you require. We also do not provide kitchen items (e.g. pots, pans, plates, etc.)
