About the dorm
Dyrlægevej kollegiet is a very modern dorm located on the KU Science Campus in Frederiksberg, making it one of our popular accommodations.
As all rooms are studio flats, it is the ideal dorm for independent students who like some privacy but still wish to socialize with friends and neighbours, which you can do in the common kitchens and terraces on each floor—and, not to forget, the large roof terrace.
The common kitchens on each floor also demand participation in a common weekly cleaning session, which is a great way to get to know your neighbours.
Things to do in the area
The dorm is located in Frederiksberg, one of the most desirable and central neighbourhoods in Copenhagen filled with shops and cafés.
The large park Frederiksberg Have extending into Søndermarken Park is close, as well are the city lakes, making it easy for runners and walkers to go for a trip. Frederiksberg Have also contains the Copenhagen Zoo.
Nørrebro is nearby, an area with the most multicultural vibe in Copenhagen.

Inventory
All the rooms are furnished but you need to bring your own bedding, towels, cutlery and cooking utensils. Please bring or buy what you require. However you might find that previous tenants have left kitchen items for you to use. Therefore it is often worth moving in first and checking this before buying kitchen items.

Lock out / Lost keys
Locked yourself out
If your RA or the HF Service Manager Attila are available at the dorm, they can help you gain access to your room (fees may apply). If help at your residence is not available, contact the Housing Foundation office during office hours.

Wifi is supplied through KU Science via the secure Eduroam wireless connection for academic institutions. For questions about internet, please contact KU IT.
Obligations
Laundry
Laundry facilities are available in the basement. Laundry is not included in your rent.
You have to log on to www.nortec.dk and create an account, listing Dyrlægevej 15E as the address. Further instructions are provided in the laundry area.
When you are getting ready to leave Copenhagen, write to [email protected] to request getting any unspent credit back.
House Rules & Residence Handbook
You are required to read and familiarize yourself with the house rules as well as the Residence Handbook before you arrive.
Storage rooms
All rooms at Dyrlægevej have their own storage room. The storage room is included in the rental contract and covered by your rent.
That means you are responsible for emptying and cleaning the storage room when moving out.
You receive a key for the storage room with the same number as your room. All of your keys must be returned to the Housing Foundation when you move out.
